Tvia has a solution service and technical support center in Shenzhen, China. There are several business models to work with our customers

The customer develops its own product, with Tvia providing free technical support. In this case, the IP of the product belongs to the customer; Tvia’s support includes chips’ Datasheet, FAQ, SDK, telephone support, and software and hardware DEBUG etc; and there is no limitation on the customer’s business, so long as both sides agree not to disclose related trade secrets.

Co-development by the customer and Tvia: The customer needs to provide Tvia with a detailed product specification. Tvia will then design the solution and provides a schematic for the customer to develop the PCB. After Tvia reviews the PCB, the customer will make samples. Tvia will develop the software and test it on the samples. The development process will be completed after both sides certify for acceptance. In this model, the customer is able to use the Firmware software and Tvia will keep the source code; to compensate for Tvia’s cost, the customer is required to purchase certain quantity of chips from Tvia.

Tvia develops the product for the customer: In this model, the customer usually provides the detailed specification and Tvia will develop all hardware & software. After this customer is able to use PCB/Gerber hardware and Firmware software; to compensate for Tvia’s cost, the customer is required to either purchase certain quantity of chips from Tvia or pay some R&D fees.

With further negotiation with Tvia, customer is able to get the solution’s IP or the software’s source code and monopolize the production of the solution. Customers are welcome to propose other models of cooperation. Please contact us for detailed discussion.
