TVIA CYBERPRO 5202 POWERS POSDATA NEW DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDERS

 SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 17 -- Tvia, Inc. (Nasdaq: TVIA - News), a leading provider of multimedia digital display processors for advanced television, emerging digital display, DVR security and consumer electronics markets, today announced that POSDATA has integrated and is shipping worldwide Tvia's CyberPro Multimedia digital display processor in their entire line of Digital Video Recorders (DVR).
  
POSDATA, a division of POSCO and one of the leading high technology companies in Korea with products shipping in 30 countries, required a technology with a combination of extremely high quality video, great graphics and a strong graphical user interface. Tvia's CyberPro digital display processor was selected by POSDATA for its feature-rich, broadcast quality video display technology combined with extensive graphics capabilities, allowing POSDATA to produce the highest quality DVR in the market.

The POSDATA POS-Watch product line includes: POS-Watch STD, a high-end product with 16 channels, POS-Watch BX, a low-end product with four channels, and POS-Watch PRO, a new model with improved network function and data stability, better screen quality and a security function that diversifies user privileges and strengthens I/O interfaces. POSDATA's POS-Watch line fully leverage Tvia CyberPro's extensive features including three independent video ports, programmable video scaler, enhanced on-chip encoder, six 10-bit video DACs with a double sampling clock for broadcast TV display, 24-bit digital RGB output, direct output to all worldwide TV standards, multiple composite video and S-Video outputs, component YPrPb outputs, multiple or simultaneous TV outputs, and the 64-bit graphics accelerator with alpha blending.
