Tvia's CyberPro 5202 single-chip solution provides high-end video capture and graphic display functions to improve user interface while reducing system costs.

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA - August 10, 2006 - Tvia, Inc. Tvia's video and graphics display processors in the CyberPro and TrueView families are used by the world's leading broadcast and consumer electronics companies. Samsung Electronics is one of the world's leading consumer electronics and industrial system manufacturers and its Video Surveillance & Security group is aggressively expanding market share for security DVR products worldwide.

"Samsung Electronics selected Tvia's CyberPro 5202 processor for our popular SHR series of security DVR products from 4-channel retail solutions to complex 16-channel industrial systems," said Goo Ho Kang, Principal Engineer, Digital Video Division, Digital Media Business of Samsung Electronics. "The CyberPro 5202 processor provides an extended matrix of video capture inputs, high-quality 2D graphic controls and a wide range of video output formats which allowed our product design group to improve product performance while reducing the system cost. The high end security DVR market is one of the fastest growing technology markets due to the increased requirements worldwide for significantly higher security capabilities. The new generation of DVRs has enhanced visual image capabilities with features such as High Definition Video, increased graphics capabilities and face recognition.
